By car – from the A697, turn off at Weldon Bridge and follow the B6344 west to reach Rothbury. There is limited long stay parking available at Rothbury, so please make use of the public transport network and save time, money, hassle and the environment!
It is essential to book accommodation in advance as it can get fully booked up during the summer months and may close temporarily during the winter months.
Accommodation will be required for Rothbury (start/finish), Warkworth, Embleton, Bamburgh, Wooler and Alwinton.
You may split Stage Five of the walk (Wooler to Alwinton) into two seperate walks of approximately 12 miles each by staying overnight at Ingram in the Breamish Valley (2 mile detour from 'The Inn Way' route at Greensidehill Farm in the Breamish Valley)
See 'Accommodation Guide' for more details
Take the strain out of your walk, so you only have to carry a ‘day-sack’.
